Turning 65 or newly eligible for TRS-Care Medicare?

The TRS-Care Medicare Advantage plan is available to TRS-Care participants with Medicare. You become eligible for Medicare at age 65 or if you’ve received Social Security disability benefits for a specific amount of time. Remember, you must purchase and maintain Medicare Part B coverage in order to be eligible for benefits through TRS-Care. If you’re eligible to enroll in Medicare Part A at no cost, go ahead and sign up for it. If you’re not eligible for premium-free Medicare Part A, you don’t need to sign up for it.
